No. It's sad, but the reason is lack of publicity and marketting. Hollywood movie makers spend a lot of money on this event so that their movie can win an oscar. Also, they know some members of the jury.

Aamir Khan has every reason to celebrate as his directorial debut, Taare Zaman Par, has been chosen as India's official entry to the Oscars in the best foreign film category. But the actor-director-producer shouldn't relax just yet. The race to win at the Oscars has just begun The academy has received entries from 80 countries till date. Some of the films are Entre Les Murs (France), Turneja (Serbia), Freund Der (Switzerland), Perro Come Perro(Colombia), No One's Son (Croatia), Home of Dark Butterflies (Finland), El Dorado (Belgium), Revanche (Austria), Sztuczki (Poland) and Iszka Utazsa (Hungary).
