If a movie like Slumdog millionaire can win 8 Oscars, more films from India should make it to Oscar. Wednesday, Mumbai Meri Jaan and Pazania, these are all good movies. I liked these movies more than Slumdog Millionaire. I saw Barah Aana at the Goa film festival recently. Its an extremely well made, light-hearted drama. All the actors are fantastic, but I was really struck by Naseeruddin Shah, who plays a driver. He doesn't speak at all through most of the movie, yet his presence fills up the screen.
