Bharti Retail, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharti Enterprises plans to invest about 2 billion-2.5 billion dollars in the retail sector by 2015. Rajan Bharti Mittal, the joint managing director of Bharti Enterprises had stated last year that both Bharti Airtel and Bharti Retail were distinctly different businesses and Airtel had nothing do with the retail business. Bharti plans to revolutionize the retail market in future as it did with the telecom sector through Airtel.
