I think its a totally flawed slection as far as the pace department is concerned. I wonder why RP Singh, and Irfan Pathan are not being selected. Munaf, Ishant and Abhimanyu Mithun do not pose any threats. But if they are able to support the spinners then the team has a good chance . Thats because the pitches in Sri lanka do not support pace, in any case,

The batting dept looks in full strenght. So its likely to be a closely fought contest.

I guess the spin trio has to play a really crucial role .... looking at the practice match scorecard, it looks as if the same story is gonna repeat in each test .... the Indians would be highly reliable on the batsmen to spoil the Sri Lankan party .... I have my fingers crossed!

Worldwide the pace attack is weak. So is India. Srilanka too are in the same mold. Occasional brilliance may hold key to both the countries. If Harbajan could get into farm quickly then it could help matters.

May be the Indian govt will ask the srilankan govt how they want the game to be played and accordingly our players will be instructed. Eg. Earlier we helped them in the same way to when sent in IPKF.
