I think the Kashmiris want azaadi, but only of a particular religious kind. They want a separate naton , one that will be exactyl like Pakistan. For them China doesnt hold any promise.

I think Kashmiris would be happier living w/ China than w/ India or Pakistan. I am being realistic. Sure their "azadi" aspirations may get cut and freedom of religion 2, but those things only come to the limelight when DEVELOPMENT is laggard. With most of India's GDP stashed away in Swiss banks and not showing any signs of slowing down, and with Pakistan being in a diabolical mess, I think the only sensible option is to go w/ China, who would guarantee the people a decent standard of living at least.

Politicians convinced with a future with China?
must be with Pakistan.
Pakistan will never get Kasmir
they love the theme as if they dont play this card they cant be in power.
the army there is in illusion
military action is out of their reach.
so they love terrorism.
as far as KASMIRIS aspiration of a ajad Kashmir is concerned
they enjoy special status in India
and with political will to bring Kasmiris to main stream at Centre ...more
