Almost all parities are communal. BJP as well as congress and all the caste parties are so. I dont think Adwani who was instrumental in bringing down Babri masjit is less communal than Modi. The very birth of Jana sangh which later became BJP is to retain the Hindu identity. Congress under the leadership of Gandhi was moving ahead with the idea of true secularism. Then the Hindu and Islamic fundamentalists wanted to retain the religious divide so that people of both communities can be exploited.
I see Modi as the best choice in BJP because he is the only person in BJP who can rise above the PARTY. He may even become a truly secular man if he attains power, if that will retain his power and world wide support! No other BJP leader can do that even if they wanted to!

BJP WAS NEVER A COMMUNAL PARTY LIKE CONGI MUSLIM LEAGUE JAMATE ISLAMI. IT IS ALL MEDIA CREATION THAT BJP is communal, any way you have opened one eye to find BJP IS less communal, if you open both the eyes then you will realise BJP is actually for all Indians!!
