Am i free ,, AM not free, if I go and work in Maharashtra state politicians start the "MARATHI MAANUS MUDDA". and so so If i am a North indian and go to south India people would not like me and vice versa. If i raise my voice against corruption, next day the government official would raid my home and office and would start finding whether i am corrupt or honest. I dont get selected in a competitive examination even after better performance and not eligible for admission in IIT's and other professional education institutes even after securing good rank than a ST and SC candidate because i belong to forward class, I am poor but i dont get a waive off in tuition fee so i need to take loan for my education but my fellow friends of rich but backward class get waive off in tuition fee by the government, If i start a business government would put all the possible taxes over my business though a big sports authority would not pay taxes at the cost of giving the original world cup to my winnin ...more

There is a difference between the institution of Parliament and the people who constitute it. The former is a glorious while the latter try to cover up their inglorious actions by cornering that glory for them self.
Yes, Indian democracy is a flawed one. But who is perfect in this world? 60 years of Indian Parliament is something which the country should be proud of.
It is due to the Parliament that downtrodden people are waking up to empower them self.
Millions of families have moved out of poverty and are leading a better life.
The Parliament has tried to remove feudalism by taking away the power from Maharajahs and zamindars.
It is due to the Parliament that when a leader looses power he graciously attends the oath taking ceremony of the new government (rather than being banished to leave the country like our neighbors)
