I am paying tuition fee for my child. Whether I can get tax benefit for this. My employer have deducted tax as the 6th pay commission allows me to get Rs. one thousand per child per month reimbursement. Is it taxable or not

TUITION FEES PAID FOR MAXIMUM 2 CHILDREN CAN BE CLAIMED U/S 80C UPTO A MAXIMUM OF Rs.1 LAKH ( ALL INCLUSIVE OF GPF, LIC PREMIUM TUTION FEES ETC.,). YOU HAVE TO OFFER ALL THE TUTION FEES REIMBURSEMENT GOT TO YOUR TAXABLE INCOME AND CLAIM 80C
DEDUCTION ON THE 'TUTION FEE' COMPONENT PAID ALONE AND NO OTHER COMPONENT SUCH AS LIBRARY FEE, BUILDING FUND, LAB FEE, SPECIAL FEE, MISC. FEE ETC., ARE ALLOWED TO CLAIM THE ABOVE DEDUCTION.

Money is no limit. U can claim exemption U/S 80-C for 2 children max. alongwith other investments upto max. Rs. 100000/-.

Education allowance is tax free. Tuition fees for two children is eligible for deduction under 80C upto 1 lakh.
