Surprisingly, a not-so-known Spenta Bakery located in Naigaon (nr dadar tt) has very nice mawa cakes & ultrasoft ladipav. The street is crowded with hawkers. Its very easy to locate. Just turn left at a new red colored mall while coming from Dadar tt to Parel, drive for 2 mins. On left corner is Spenta

The best Mawa cakes in Mumbai are available at one and only B. Merwan & Co; the much celebrated Irani bakers and hoteliers are famous for their delicacies. Mawa cake from Merwans is not only famous in Mumbai but also in parts of Gujarat like Udhwada, Sanjan and Ava Bagh of Navsari. The hotel is located opposite Grant Road Station (E) on Ali Bhai Remji Road in Mumbai. The Bun Maska or Brun Muska is famous breakfast among for the early birds. Go ahead! Order a Mawa cake and Masala Chai and dip the slice of the cake and binge it.thats the Irani way.
