YES. They have to be scrapped!
They could be substituted by Govt run local forums to settle trivial issues instantly..... based on the accepted laws of the land and principles of the Constitution. A persons qualified in law should preside such forums!

Sharia Courts are totally different from Khaps, the former only giving religious position on matter posed to them and have no authority to impose their verdicts, the latter give verdicts and forcefully implement them !
