Life is hard for everyone . Some women's lives are much harder than most men's, but some men's lives just are as hard as most women's lives. We can't generalize specifications.God when was creating male and females He forgets to be fair with us instead they gave all the advantages to men instead of women.

The lower the economic status, the more is the qualitative hardship in a woman's life.

In rich class , women live lavish lives with all sense of deprivation due to their husbands' preoccupation with their work. There might be other women in their lives. But for the lavish lives, the wives cannot vehemently protest,as they aren't incapable providing such lives, all by themselves. In stead of being unwanted guests in father's house, it is better to have sulking forlorn life in one's own house. It seems to be their motto.

In middle class, there is a problem of pretensions and hypocrisy. Women are lot more educated and self willed. In the name of children's better prospect, they never desist from breaking otherwise happy families where you need to always adjust with others in lifestyles as well as economically. They are more aware of laws giving advantages to women and the worst abusers of such laws are women of middle class who have the backing of education and also aware o ...more

There is no way to define 'harder' unless you use some kind of measuring rod. Like for example, women do tend to live longer than men, but that also means that women attend more funerals which is something really hard to do if your loved one is in the box.

The same if you mean when considering traditional roles, which I think are the ones you have in mind: staying at home to watch the kids means dealing with the hardships of domestic life, but going out to work means dealing with the hardships of public life.
