They are pioneers and trend setters, which are then copied by others who offer them at a cheaper price, so you feel they are not value for money. But even today when the new Apple model of mobile is released people in US stand whole night in line before the shops opens as the first batch produced gets sold out on that day itself. Ad for copying is concerned, Samsung paid a very huge sum in damages to Apple for copying their model with purchasing its rights. Apple products are made in US, where labour is costly and hence they are overpriced. Whereas the other countries get these made in China or Taiwan, where labor is cheap so they are able to sell similar kind of products at cheaper rates.
