Time is not good to invest now. Only property dealers & developers will advise you to invest. Best strategy is to stay put and wait for price-correction.
Look around yourself, how many deals are happening now. Less than 5% of what was happening 1 -2 years back. If you need property for own use even there rental works out much cheaper. Put your money in bank or other safer options (10% return is assured and money is in your hands). The capital gains are not going to happen in near future. Check with your friends and relatives who currently are holding properties. They are not able to sell them at so called prevalent rates in the market. Till six months back everyone minted money and wise investors are already out of it. By the way did you read about the current real-estate crisis in US. Similar situation is about to happen in India as fundamentals of arithmetics stay the same.
