Politicians are still not unanimous on war against naxalism. People like Digvijay Singh, Lalu Yadav, Mamta Banerjee still playing politics and talking of dialogue with Naxalites or resisting air strike on naxal hideouts. Union Home Minister has totally failed to provide necessary security to his country men. Dr. Manmohan Singh has said that the recent brutal killing in Dantewada, blowing up railway tracks and burning of vehicles by the Naxalites cannot be equated to terrorism! What else do you require to qualify for a label like Terrorists? It's very immature of a national leader to say something like this instead of coming down heavily with an iron hand against all those who take up arms and hold the machine ...more

As per rediff.....

"***West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee blamed Maoists for the attacks*** and said his government was determined to defeat the rebels."

Beyond that I haven't seen any proof of a Maoist hand in this attack. Just as ANYTHING which happens in India we blame Pak.

The experts on forensics concluded:

"There could have been a blast. But the train derailed primarily because of the missing fishplates and rail tracks," Singh said.
