The law does nothing to reform criminals. we are talking about india and not UK. here they are treated like dirt in jails. i have seen the real position in my social service.
the aim must be to curb crime , eliminate crime and not criminal. in this case , sanjay dutt had a 20 year crime free life , he is a reformed man and in no way danger to society. so he deserves mercy

He would make ideal candidate for SP since its supporters consider him as one of their own people. And now he has also become a martyr for their cause.
But Congress would grab him since they hold power

He has already been in politics. His sister is a Congress MP. He was in Samajwadi Party of Mulayam Singh Yadav.
I wish he is not pardoned and undergoes his three and a half years of sentence. After all he broke the law of the land. But I don't believe tthat he has any hand in Mumbai blasts of 1993 and also he was NOT charged for that. He was foolish to become friendly with the wrong type of people.

Congress. if at all he joins. Shiv sena is also there. But I don't think he will join any party. He has suffered. Bal takheray no more. father no more. no politics for him. if politics, only congress left.
