"Living to work, or working to live'. In many companies 50% of key employees will be eligible to retire in the next few years. How many companies best prevent the potential brain drain and keep older workers happy?? Being an HR Professional in a Corporate Sector my perception is this. Any Comments??
its good to rotate the employees in different sectors within the company will help them from brain drain and they will come across others responsibilities in running a team work it makes whole company as one team most of them should have developed a self interest in their performance

Holding on to the old bunch is good.but what abt the new young ones joining....shud u not give them a bright future. The change is always for good.you have work for the replacement in a proper order....i will a example if you have time.in 1994 World Cup Ronaldo was on bench for brazil squad, romario wa sthe hero.In 1998 Ronadhino was on bench and ronaldo was the star.In 2002 Kaka was on bench and Ronaldhino was the star,in 2006 kaka was the star.
Now in 1994 perriara helped brazil win the world cup but in 2006 he flopped. So the things does need change. But use the older folk for advice as form of concuil of intellectuals....as they have the experience.
