They are not serious about Tamil sentiment. Both the dravidan party does not give a damn to Tamil sentiment, if it does not give them a yard of popularity and will jump heaven to earth if it means some votes. The ruling ADMK has lost most of the rural votes because of the serious power cut and the exit of Vijayakanth. At this juncture a Tamil sentiment drama coupled with wooing Vijayakanth will turn the scales for the DMK in the coming Loksaba election. After winning they will definitely take the side of the winning combination. They will try to stop the alliance of ADMK and congress and hence there is a "if"to the withdrawal.

"Can you smell what The Rock is cooking!"
They are like weather forecast. Difficult to guess. With no support of the people, that is the best they can do. Amma has trounced them for good.

Withdrawal of DMK does not mean the Government will collapse. Like Mulayam and Maya, Karuna too needs the support of the central Government to prevent their leaders from experiencing Jail Ki Hawa and having to Chhaki Pissofy in Tihar. But DMK needs to break the alliance with Congress well before the 2014 election as DMK and Congress in state level are on as friendly a term as TMC and Congress are in West Bengal. In other words No Love Is being Lost between them. In the run up for election DMK's plan would be rake up an issue in the state that will make people forget the scam cases that are pending against DMK ministers. Secondly they need a huge issue, something emotionally as strong as the Anti Hindi agitation of 60s which ensured end of Congress in the state for ever and emergence of DMK as the main party in the state. Thirdly ever since Karuna has announced Stalin to be his successor, Alagiri has been sulking and fuming. There is a strong possibility of a major split taking plac ...more

They hv been always serious about their vote bank and it meant business for them.
Itz a blessing in disguise for DMK to get their foothold in wake of general election, otherwise there was a possibility of DMK getting evaporated from TN political map.

So long the bogus REGIONAL PARTIES ( DMK,AIDMK, CPM, TMC,SP,BSP, NCP, etc) are allowed to exist in India's political scenario, such things will continue to happen.

For Tamilians...language is God...they never see beyond that....it is so painful...that DMK had jumped the national boundaries....the way Mamta jumps on the eastern side....the big question is....Is language greater than the nation? UPA is wrong in asking support from such anti-nationalist party...
