Any punishment is VIOLENCE, and it is also a VENGEANCE, the vengeance of the society on a criminal.
Both violence and vengeance are NEGATIVE and UGLY. These things shud never be displayed in public, because violence hardens and perverts human minds, it destroys children's mind. violence perpetuate more violence. ONLY PRIMITIVE SOCIETIES do that, and the results are there to see in those societies, there violence becomes a way of life.
In a better society, the reasons behind crime wud be identified and remedied, people with aggressive nature will be isolated and given means to chanelise that energy to useful purposes. Criminals will be treated and reformed. Humanity has to go ahead, we cant go back!
