Most political parties and their leaders never sincerely welcome a strong Lokpal. There is no difference between the opposition and the ruling fronts. Today's opposition is tomorrow's ruling combination. So today's handy toy may turn out to be tomorrows lethal weapon working against them. As the People's Representatives have been brought within the purview of proposed Lokpal, so there is anxiety cutting across most parties. So while the Anna's are trying for a strong Lokpal, the political establishments are trying to get a delayed or diluted Lokpal or no Lokpal at all. So more dilly dallying, wastage of time, drama, lame excuses and procedural complexities are forecast.

A weak govt. bill is possible. Strong lokpal bill will never see the light of the day.
