Why indian pace attack was not so much effective in comparission of england even in the condition where indian seemer always get some help with lateral movements with the ball

First of all, after 15 overs of the match we had to lose the services of our spear head - Zaheer Khan and as the pressure on bowlers was physically unbearable, even dhoni had to roll his arm, Praveen Kumar in first Innings and Ishant sharma in 2nd innings did a good job, except for the last 25-30 over of england 2nd innings I think. Moreover, had Zaheer Khan played the whole test match, I think India could have won
