The fall if it happens would be a fall from grace like a pack of cards. There would be one too many vultures who will plunge to share the spoils. As for the illicit and ungodly economy well that aint gonna die any soon coz its just a manifestation of the business models run by one a many in Indian society. It requires collective strength and willpower for Indians to smash their illicit parallel economy

The system is corrupt. It's not with the Congress but with every party which is in the reckoning. Congress still is less corrupt than the BJP who haven't forgotten and digested their defeat at the hands of Congress in 1994, at a time when 'feel good' factor and 'India shining' were two main misleading- slogans were ranting the air. In Congress, there are a number of reputed economists who have saved the country from going to dogs in the heat of recession and meltdown of economy. Nothing will happen. Your fears are unfounded !

India need congress as a counter balance otherwise it would leave a huge vacuum either as ruling or opposition party.
Regarding top officials, we have to wait & see whether system will change them or they will be successful in retaining the system as it is.
