I believe justice delayed, is justice denied....so within 6 months da criminal shud b punished...

More than how swift the punishment to be given, more emphasize to be given on how to avoid recurrence of such crimes.
Anyway, attempt should be made to gather adequate resource and talent to issue the verdict within 3 to 6 months. There are caes which are dragged for 10 years with punishment duration of 3 or 6 years.
