Q.

Concerned by the road accidents caused by under-age drivers, Union Minister for women and child development Renuka Chowdhury said parents must be punished for allowing their minor children to get behind the wheel. D father's licence should be revoked. Its not the chidl's fault. Do you agree on above???

I do agree because at least in that case responsibility
is accounted to some extent. If you remember Adnan
patrawala incident, boy was only 16 & his father has given
him charge of Skoda car, and he was kidnapped in the same car.

Cancelling of parents licence wont serve the cause, some penalty should be imposed on parents for abbetting the accident, because its them who provide the vehicle.

To some extent they are responsible too. Though it is not possible for the parents to watch over their child always, but if they communicate the dos and don't of driving, probably the accidents would be less. But revoking the licence I am not sure.....

Renuka Chowdrury is just trying to grab attention by making such comments. If parents are to be punished for heir wards driving cars without valid license then it would be only fair to punish the minister for child welfare when employers are caught engaging child labor ..In spite of enacting stringent law against Child labor there are many industries which still employee child labor in our country. So if any industry is found violating the Child labor acts then the minister responsible for preventing the same should be sent to jail. If this is acceptable to her then her comment is valid
