Under its inherent power of judicial review , the Apex Court is well within its competence to examine the propriety of any administrative action ( here, the threat to withdraw the deemed university status) affecting the rights and interests of person / institution

SC has stayed the order. It hasalso calledupon government for its case against them. The SC will decide the matter after hearing both the sides.Govt. has assured that the withdrawl of recognition will not harm the prosectsof the existing students.SC will also ensure that whatefer way it may decide the issue.
