It fact their military build up is very alarming. China also has intentions of grabbing land of its neighbours under some pretexts. They have already annexed autonomous Tibet and made it part of China and genuine aspirations of Tibetans are being suppressed with strong hand tactics. Huge areas of our land are also now under Chine occupation. Although we are trying to have peace with China which is very sensible and good for India, we should be very careful with them because this is one nations we can never trust.

Yes Indeed China's military build up is alarming. We must not forget that China is concentrating in becoming a global power. Every technology or investment it makes it is to counter the US and other major powers of the world. India is worried about its neighbours and it's agressiveness. Any investment by India on military is viewed by entier world and our neighbours immediately complaint of us being a bully and trying to destabilise the peace and tranquility in this region.
In the case of china. It has outgrown it self. Now nobody can dictate china on it's development prcocesses militarily. Since China is aiming to become a global power it's investments are huge.

Expressing alarm over rapid Chinese military build up which they say threatens to challenge US freedom of action in space, cyberspace, at sea and in the air, influential US lawmakers want Pentagon to file a report to the US Congress on Beijing's growing military might.
"China's extensive military build-up is alarming," said five Republican Senators, John Cornyn, John McCain ,James Risch, Pat Roberts and James Inhofe in a letter to Defence Secretary Robert Gates.

Yes.And India should be well prepared to counter any attack .There is no use harping "Hindi Cheeni bhai bhai" or adopting "Ahimsa' as the best policy or even expecting that US may help us in case China attacks us.We should be well prepared and ready to give a befitting reply to any country who attacks us!
