De dee huma azadi bina khadag bina dhaal, Sabarmati ke sant tune kar diya kamaal. Is this historically correct ? And what have been its consequences ?

It is a film song that is totally false. From the early days of Independence, the Congress has been the ruling party at the centre. And Gandhiji, was its chief protagonist.
But they conveniently forget the role of the freedom fighters,Lala lajpat Rai, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandra Shekhar Azaad aned countless others. Also forgotten are political leaders like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Our freedom was never a one man's victory.

It is not completely true as britishers gave us freedon due to international pressure after 2nd w war, non violence movement by gandhuji and fight by our martyers like bhagat singhji, cs azad, ashfulla khan, sukhdev and thousand others.
