This Truth is only for the Realised Persons !! Who has realised it or understand the God Element...has no need to go Temples or Churches or other Religious Places !!...I also wonder but it is the practice of thousands of years... Did you notice the person goes to get 'Darshan" of any God Idol in Temple...the person stands in front of that Idol & Close the Eyes...the questions is how he gets "Darshan"?.... All Scriptures, Relgious Books & Realised Souls are saying this Truth, That GOD is Everywhere...but I think problem is with us "That we are not with GOD" !! : )) If one has faith in GOD he/she should always try to realise the God within him/herself (then he/she may realise GOD Everywhere)...but here also problems are created by the Said fake Babas & Mullas (only the mere repeator of the Scriptures) who connect us with the Mala, Vrat, Upasana, Idols & Rituals (Karma-kand)but not GOD.. because they do not know the Truth (i.e.God)...If someone knows God will only guide everybody towards ...moreAnswered by Ramesh Mistry, 11 Dec '09 01:37 pm
As such, God is there everywhere, but then we have troubles and pain, love and hatred, anger and violence, everywhere... so we invented temples, so that at least some places can be kept free of the negative feelings like hatred, violence, pain, sinfulness... so that wthere at least for some time we are free from these negativities and pray with a positive, pure mind.Answered by Aditya Misra, 12 Dec '09 04:25 pm
When our stomach is empty and when we are hungry, it is not the stomach which decides what we eat, it is the eyes, nose and mouth. So also even if there is God everywhere we could concentrate on Him more if there is a place assigned to it like a Temple Mosque and churchAnswered by ambujam, 12 Dec '09 03:40 pm
God is everywhere, but Temples , Churches and other religious places have been built by organized religions, for their followers, who profess that religion, to pray by the customs and rituals as prescribed by the said religious beliefs.Answered by mohanbirsingh ghura, 11 Dec '09 08:05 pm
Places of worship are really not required. Neither God needs them nor the worshiper. In fact God for all we know does not even care whether we worship Him or not. But religion can not survive without the element of worship built into it. Moreover Religion requires a feed back as to whether people are worshiping or not. Religious leaders can not go house to house to check up whether their followers are worshiping. So they have introduced the institution of Temple, Church, Mosque, Pagoda etc where people can come together for prayers. Place of worship makes the job of religious leader easier. Like sheep and cattle get herded into a manger by Sheppard for taking a head count and ensure none of them have strayed, places of worship serve similar purpose to the religious leaders.Answered by Shyam, 11 Dec '09 05:04 pm
To thank god for each and everything He has given us.Of course god is everywhere but maybe you cannot feel Him everywhere. I mean, you cannot feel him anywhere where there is cruelty like a butcher's shop or a graveyard where there is gloom. So, maybe to feel that yes he is with and get the heavenly peace we go to temples.Answered by sumati gayki, 11 Dec '09 01:40 pm
