Men generally go out , to clubs , inter act with others and has many opportunities for interactions which reduces the inclinations to watch TV . But an housewife has no such opportunities for visual and interaction inputs . TV happens to be their only contact with th external world . They are also more sentimental and soap opera serials give ladies plenty of sentimental involvement . That is why.
