It is common nowadays, not only because they don't find the right partner.........But also sometimed they fail to settle at early age and due to increasing prices and inflnation most of them are avoiding or delaying the marriages.

We get married Kamini, specifically in India, according to our parents wishes and at an early age. In western countries, people believe that upto an age of 45, men are too young to get married and to become father of half a dozen. Women too, in those countries want to remain as beautiful as they were at their early 20s.

It is not just because of it but also because every one is focusing primarily on their career.

The issue is not finding a good partner but being able to meet the FIXED COSTS per month and TIME COMMITMENT that comes w/a marriage. Modern INdia is more like Seoul, ala cosmopolitan. In cosmopolitan societies, to make things easy, u get more stuff but living costs much more. So late marriages are an obvious consequence.

IN family centric societies such as North Korea, it would b possible for a 19 yr old and a 17 yr old to move into an independent flat w/a job independent from Mom and Dad but u don't get nearly as much stuff in North Korea as u do in South Korea.
