Our forefathers. We may have all the luxuries in life bought by money, modern technology which makes communication easier and faster. All the comforts, yet we are not as happy as we ought to be. We are all running a mad race in which we all want to increase our status, life has become fast and stressful, we dont get leisure time for ourselves, our family and relatives. We have become vulnerable to diseases like hypertension, heart problems and diabetes which are caused principally caused due to stress. More and More people are suffering from depression and other psychological problems and many of these resort to suicide.
On the other hand the life of our forefathers may not have had multi tasking skills and relatively simpler, but they could find time to devote to their family and friends after work hours. Important aspects for them were their work, family, friends, neighbors to whom they devoted time and were much more enjoyable and happier life. It was the simplicity of their lives ...more

Every era has its unique problems;
Our forefathers had to the fear of kings, people might have been asked to join the rulers army, or pay a give a greater part of their agriculture produce. Every body had to work physically. to produce some thing or the other. Agriculture was the main source of livelihood. There were no offices. There were no vehicles except bullock carts horses or to go on foot. There were no lights on the roads. Most of the roads were muddy, full of snakes/ If they needed to go to some other village they would need company of two or three persons to go through the thick forests depending upon the sun as guiding signal.

Thus we can say we are happier than them but our hardships are different from theirs.
The life has always been struggle for every individual. Ladies and gents both have had their different zones and different sets of hardships.
So, is now.... we can not compare because of the varioius changes which we have, and we have not that they had.
