In Gujarat it is BJP and in HP it is hung parliament. Independents and regional parties will play crucial rule. Let us see who can woo them best.

Gujarat - BJP
Himachal - BJP
I know I am going against what the exits polls have projected for Himachal, but so many times all these exit polls have not just gone wrong, but gone wrong very badly, not just in India but even in foreign countries because these exit polls interview a sample of voters in different regions and base their projections on the results of these samples. Overall the atmosphere in India is anti-Congress because of inflation, unemployment, taxes of all kinds being levied and most importantly corruption and the govt's reluctance to act severely against the corrupt politicians, even as the common man has been forced to bear the market price if he consumes more than six cylinders in a year. I think all these things will have a major impact on the mind of the voters. These polls had predicted a neck and neck fight for the US presidency, whereas Obama won a landslide victory. I feel this may also happen and BJP will get a majority.
