Categorizing within 5 options is bit difficult. Personally for me honesty is best policy and determines my conduct. But I can not hope others would be honest because I am honest. At least I expect that with me these are honest with whom I normally interact. And thas my wish only. They may or they may not be. While interacting with others I keep in mind to which bracket a person belongs and modify the interpretation accordingly. After all we havr to co exist with all types of person and in a business setting we can't be too choosy.

Whats the point in being brutally forthright and honest when it could harm someone without getting back positive results overall / for the general cause.

When the leader of a mob comes to your house and enquires about residents of a different community and in
which flats they reside in.Will you decide to be honest and tell them all or you will use dicretion?
I would go by No. 5 option= tell a white lie, because many a times, honesty is NOT the best policy.
