Comparisions as players between them will be unfair. Over the years Sehwag has proved beyond doubt that he is the most destructive and consistent opening batsmen in test matches and has a test average of around 50, which is phenomenal. He is the only Indian test batsmen to have scored more than 300 runs in tests twice. He has crossed 150 runs in an innings in tests more times than any other batsmen. However, his average is the 2nd innings is comparatively disappointed and having scored more than 8000 runs in tests there is no doubt that he will always be regarded as a great test batsmen and only Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar are the Indians who has scored more runs than him in tests.
