r u talking about GREAT mahatma gandhi? Just READ the follows then post me ur comments:
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (October 2, 1869 - January 30, 1948), known popularly as Mahatma Gandhi (Mahatma - Sanskrit: "great soul") or Gandhiji, was one of the founding fathers of the modern Indian state and an influential advocate of Satyagraha (non-violent protest) as a means of revolution.
Now c the other side of coin:
British didn't leave because of Gandhi
They were too embarassed to admit that they had become financially weak bcoz of World War 2 - so they performed a face saving act to tell people that they were 'inspired' by the thoughts and deeds of Gandhi...
I'm surprised most Indians believe Gandhi was the cause of independence...
Mahatama Gandhi hailed as The father of the nation.but was he really worthy of this title?
wat about those youth who sacrificed their lives, their homes their everything for the sake of the country!!!!
betrayed indians
if he wills bhagat s ...more

Gandhi was a philosopher who effectively propogated non violence as a means of assertion. He got the oportunity to show to the world by using non violence as a tool for Indian freedom movement and he could very effectively prove it. He has also been a very very prominent , in fact the most prominent figure of the freedom struggle of India. Gandhi has influence the lives of people worldwide as much as The Budhdhha and is reverred in the world for that.
